MEMBERSHIP TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. ABOUT DEIGHT MEMBERSHIP
These Membership Terms & Conditions govern membership of the DEIGHT Community.
DEIGHT Membership is designed for singles over 30 who want to meet, connect and socialise through our community and events.
Membership is free to apply for, subject to approval, and currently has no recurring monthly membership fee.
By applying for and, if approved, becoming a DEIGHT Member, you agree to these Membership Terms & Conditions, our Community Guidelines, Privacy Policy and any applicable terms relating to individual events or bookings.
2. MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY & APPLICATION
DEIGHT Membership is subject to application and approval.
Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance as a DEIGHT Member.
Applications are personally reviewed by DEIGHT. We may decline an application where, acting reasonably and lawfully, we consider that membership would not be appropriate for the community.
Applicants must provide accurate and truthful information during the application process.
DEIGHT Membership is intended for people who are currently single and aged 30 or over.
3. IDENTITY VERIFICATION
Applicants who are approved will be required to complete a one-time identity-verification process before their DEIGHT Membership is activated.
Membership will not become active until any required identity verification has been successfully completed.
Identity verification is used to help support the safety, authenticity and integrity of the DEIGHT community.
DEIGHT may require additional verification where reasonably necessary to protect the community or investigate concerns regarding the accuracy of information provided.
4. MEMBERSHIP FEES
There is currently no recurring monthly fee for DEIGHT Membership.
Approved members are not required to maintain a monthly subscription.
Instead, members choose which paid Members’ Socials they wish to attend and pay the applicable event price when booking.
DEIGHT Socials that are open to guests and members may also require the purchase of an Event Pass.
Any applicable event price will be clearly displayed before booking.
DEIGHT reserves the right to introduce, remove or change membership features, benefits or pricing structures in the future. Any material change affecting existing members will be communicated before it takes effect where appropriate.
5. DEIGHT SOCIALS & MEMBERS’ SOCIALS
DEIGHT operates different types of social events.
DEIGHT Socials are events that may be open to both guests and approved DEIGHT Members. Membership is not required unless expressly stated for a particular event.
Members’ Socials are private events and experiences available exclusively to approved, ID-verified DEIGHT Members.
Members’ Socials may include dinners, drinks, brunches, tastings, activities, experiences, seasonal events and other social occasions.
Membership does not include automatic or complimentary admission to Members’ Socials unless DEIGHT expressly states otherwise.
Members choose which Members’ Socials they wish to attend and pay the applicable event price when booking.
6. MEMBERS’ SOCIALS CALENDAR
DEIGHT does not guarantee a minimum number or frequency of Members’ Socials.
Events may be released according to factors including member demand, location, venue availability, event format and expected attendance.
DEIGHT may operate events across different locations within the Midlands and is not required to provide events in every location or at any particular frequency.
Membership therefore does not guarantee that a particular event, location, date or type of experience will be available.
7. EVENT BOOKINGS
Events may:
Have limited capacity
Require advance booking
Require payment
Have specific eligibility or attendance requirements
Be subject to venue requirements
Have event-specific cancellation or booking conditions
A place at an event is only confirmed in accordance with the booking process specified by DEIGHT for that event.
Where capacity is limited, places may be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis unless otherwise stated.
A social-media RSVP, expression of interest or third-party platform RSVP does not constitute a confirmed DEIGHT booking unless expressly stated otherwise.
8. EVENT PRICING, CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
Prices and any applicable booking conditions will be displayed when an event is offered for booking.
Cancellation and refund rights may vary depending on the event, booking method and circumstances.
Where DEIGHT cancels an event for which an attendee has paid DEIGHT directly, the attendee will be entitled to an appropriate refund in accordance with applicable law and the terms communicated for that booking.
Where an event is postponed or rescheduled, DEIGHT will communicate the available options to affected attendees.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
9. EVENT CHANGES
DEIGHT may amend, postpone, relocate, substitute or cancel an event where reasonably necessary.
Reasons may include, but are not limited to:
Venue availability
Insufficient attendance
Safety or welfare concerns
Organiser or supplier requirements
Weather
Transport disruption
Circumstances outside DEIGHT's reasonable control
Where a material change affects a paid booking, DEIGHT will communicate with affected attendees and provide any options or remedies required under applicable law.
10. COMMUNITY GUIDELINES & MEMBER CONDUCT
All DEIGHT Members must comply with the DEIGHT Community Guidelines.
Members are expected to behave respectfully and responsibly when participating in DEIGHT events, community spaces and interactions arising through the community.
Conduct that may result in action by DEIGHT includes:
Harassment, bullying, intimidation or threatening behaviour
Discrimination
Serious or repeated unwanted contact
Aggressive or abusive behaviour
Deliberate disruption of events or community spaces
Unauthorised business promotion, solicitation or recruitment
Providing materially false or misleading information during the membership process
Conduct that creates a genuine safety or welfare concern for other participants
Serious or repeated breaches of the Community Guidelines
DEIGHT may review concerns or complaints and take proportionate action where reasonably necessary to protect members, guests, staff, venues or the wider community.
11. MEMBERSHIP SUSPENSION & TERMINATION
DEIGHT may suspend, restrict or terminate membership where there are reasonable grounds to do so, including serious or repeated breaches of these Terms & Conditions or the Community Guidelines.
Depending on the circumstances, action may include:
A warning
Restrictions on event attendance
Temporary suspension
Removal from an event or community space
Termination of membership
Restriction from attending future DEIGHT events
Serious misconduct or a significant safety concern may result in immediate action without a prior warning.
Where reasonably appropriate, DEIGHT may review relevant information before making a decision.
Termination of membership does not automatically entitle a member to a refund for separate events already attended or services already provided. Any rights relating to an existing future paid booking will be considered separately in accordance with the applicable booking terms and law.
12. LEAVING DEIGHT MEMBERSHIP
As there is currently no recurring monthly membership subscription, there is no monthly membership payment to cancel.
A member who no longer wishes to participate in the DEIGHT community may contact DEIGHT regarding their membership status.
Leaving or ending membership does not automatically cancel any separate event booking already made. Any event cancellation must be dealt with in accordance with the terms applicable to that booking.
13. PERSONAL CONNECTIONS BETWEEN MEMBERS
DEIGHT provides opportunities for people to meet and socialise but does not guarantee friendships, dates, relationships or any particular personal outcome.
Members are responsible for their own decisions and interactions with other attendees.
DEIGHT is not responsible for private arrangements, communications or relationships between individuals outside DEIGHT-managed events or community spaces, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Members must continue to comply with the Community Guidelines regardless of whether a friendship, date or relationship develops or ends.
14. LIABILITY
Participation in social events involves ordinary risks associated with venues, travel, activities and interactions with other people.
Members remain responsible for their own decisions, behaviour, travel arrangements, belongings and personal interactions.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.
To the extent permitted by law, DEIGHT will not be responsible for losses arising from private arrangements between members or circumstances outside DEIGHT's reasonable control.
15. PRIVACY & PERSONAL INFORMATION
DEIGHT will handle personal information in accordance with applicable data-protection law and our Privacy Policy.
Members are also expected to respect the privacy and confidentiality of other members and guests in accordance with the Community Guidelines.
Information provided during the membership application and verification process must be accurate and must not deliberately misrepresent the applicant's identity or eligibility.
16. MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS & PROMOTIONS
From time to time, DEIGHT may offer complimentary event access, promotional benefits, discounts, event passes or other benefits to particular members or groups.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, these benefits:
Are personal to the recipient
Have no cash value
Cannot be transferred or resold
May be subject to stated booking procedures or expiry dates
Do not create an ongoing entitlement to the same benefit in the future
Temporary or promotional benefits do not form part of the permanent DEIGHT Membership offering unless expressly stated.
17. CHANGES TO MEMBERSHIP
DEIGHT may develop or change the membership offering as the community grows.
This may include changes to membership features, event formats, locations, booking processes or other aspects of the service.
Where a change materially affects existing members, DEIGHT will provide reasonable information about the change before it takes effect where appropriate.
Nothing in this section removes any statutory rights members may have.
18. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
DEIGHT may update these Membership Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our membership model, services, legal requirements or operating practices.
The latest version will be published on the DEIGHT website.
Where changes are material to existing members, we will take reasonable steps to bring them to members' attention before or when they take effect.

By submitting a DEIGHT Membership application, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have read and understood the terms applicable to the application process.
If your application is approved and you complete the required identity verification, your continued participation as a DEIGHT Member is subject to these Membership Terms & Conditions and the DEIGHT Community Guidelines.
DEIGHT Membership is free to apply for, subject to approval, and currently carries no monthly membership fee.
